DIY: Hair Bows!

Lately hair bows are everywhere! Many people buy tons of bows for up to $10 each. I haven't bought a bow.... ever! I've always made my own bows. To save you money you can just make your own bows and it takes under 30 minutes! Just look below and follow the instructions!

1. First you need scissors, fabric, hot glue gun, hair clip, and a ruler.
2. Extra: If you want sparkles then you will need some jewels.
3. Take your ruler and measure out a rectangle, 9 1/16 in. x 7 3/16 in. Cut out another rectangle that is, 1 6/16 in. x 6 15/16 in.
4. You should end up with 2 rectangles as shown.
5. Using the smallest rectangle, take your hot glue gun and draw a line down the center of the rectangle.
6. Fold up the bottom of the rectangle to the top of the glue line. Then draw another glue line at the top of the end of the fabric.
7. Then fold the top of the fabric down over the glue line. Set it aside.
8. Using the largest rectangle fold up the bottom to about half way.
9. Then fold the rest of the fabric over, so you end up with a long rectangle.
10. Fold the rectangle in half and crease it.
11. Unfold the folded rectangle. Fold the end to the crease that you made.
12. Fold the other end to the crease that you made so that it's just overlapping the other side.
13. Scrunch up the bow from the top to bottom so that it takes the shape of a bow. Also, use your glue gun and make dots in the creases.
14. Use the rectangle that you set aside earlier and start from the bottom and wrap it around the bow so that wraps all the way around the bow twice.
15. After you wrap around twice then cut off the end and glue it to the back.
16. Draw a thick glue line on the back where you just glued the end of the rectangle.
17. Place the hair clip on the back.
18. Then you're done!

If you want a little sparkle...
1. Make a glue dot on your bow.
2. Place a jewel on the glue dot. Then continue around the bow until it's just how you want it.
3. If you have any glue strings then just pull them off. And you have sparklified your bow!
