BatBook: DIY Minnie Mouse Ears

So for the 2nd part of the Minnie Mouse Costume is a DIY for Minnie's Ears! These are super easy and can also work for cat ears, rabbit ears, or any other costumes that you need ears for!

1. You will need a hot glue gun, some black craft foam and a headband.
2. Start with measuring the width of your headband on a piece of foam. Then draw another width of your headband above it. My pieces of foam were not long enough for the whole headband so I had to cut 2 strips.
3. Cut out the strips of foam.
4. Now start gluing your foam to your headband. I would recommend that you glue a little bit at a time and not draw a long line of glue around your headband because the glue dries quick and then you would have a bunch of dry glue.
5. Since I used 2 strips of foam I have some that was longer than my headband. If you have this problem then just cut the extra off.
6. Set your headband aside. Take a piece of foam and cut a circle out of it. To get the right size you can cut a large circle then measure how big it would be on your head, then just keep sizing it down until you get the right size.
7. Trace your circle 3 more times, so you end up with 4 circles.
8. Now glue the top section together. You want to make sure that half of it's not glued.
9. Position the circle on your headband.
10. Glue the bottom together.
11. If you have openings on the sides (like shown) just put your glue gun in there and glue them together.
12. You now have your own pair of Minnie/ Mickey Mouse ears!

BatBook: Minnie Mouse Costume; Makeup and Hair

Now it's time for Minnie's Hair and Makeup! Minnie's makeup and hair super easy to do since she's a mouse and it's all natural on her!

Hair
Since Minnie doesn't have any hair you can style your hair however you want. I think that since the Minnie costume is super cute that wanded hair would go perfectly! (In the picture don't mind the blue at the ends) You could also leave your hair straight, in a braid, or any other style that you would like!

Makeup
For Minnie's makeup I would recommend a very natural looking pink eyeshadow. Use that on your lid and make it fade out. Take your favorite mascara and brush it onto your eyelashes! You can do whatever else you want with your makeup, but don't go overboard. If you really want to get in to character you can draw a black nose on your nose.

That's all for Minnie's hair and Makeup! Just remember natural and cute like Minnie!

BatBook: Minnie Mouse Costume

The first Batbook Costume is Minnie Mouse! It's so cute and is a classic Disney character. It's super easy to put together if you have the right clothes!

Minnie wears red with white polka dots a lot, but she's also a girl. In some pictures she is wearing a purple dress. I think the perfect dress is a purple skater dress! It matches Minnie's perfectly!

The next thing that you need is a pair of Mickey/Minnie ears. You can make these or you can buy them. You may also have a pair sitting around your room.

The next thing that you'll need is a pair of pink ballet flats. They can be any kind of shoes that you want, but most people probably have some pink ballet flats.

To top it all off you will need a pink hair bow! The one pictured has white dots on it because Minnie usually is seen wearing white dots, so I thought it would be appropriate. You can buy a pink bow or you can make your own! Click here to see the hair bow tutorial.

That's the whole costume for the Minnie Mouse Outfit! Keep checking back for more BatBook Costumes!
